Emily was born in Toronto, Ontario and grew up thirty minutes away in the smaller city of Pickering. She graduated from the University of Toronto in 2016 where she completed her bachelor’s degree. Her major was in criminology and her minors were psychology and sociology.
Emily may be the first face you see when you visit the clinic. Her hope is that you feel welcomed and comfortable as you wait for your appointment. She has a natural affinity for babies and young children; seeing them at the clinic makes her day extra special. She is a new addition to the Altus team and is looking forward to meeting you.
Having attended grief counselling sessions herself for a close family loss; she has seen first-hand how integral these sessions have been to her journey of healing. This experience has given her a deep compassion for others who are walking through difficult seasons of life and are also seeking help.
Outside of work she enjoys walks by the water with her husband (coffee and a salted caramel cookie from JJ Bean in hand), quality time with friends and family, exploring the Vancouver food scene, and traveling to new places.
